1.      1. Technical Sales (Pre-Sales) Engineer – Based in Lusaka, Zambia (2 post)

Reports to:  Branch Manager/Head of Sales and Marketing

 

The Person:

The post demands an outgoing person who will be in constant contact with the Branch Manager/Head of Sales and Marketing doing solution designs and technical presentations to the customers.

The person will be responsible to make sure that the company is compliant with Manufacturer requirement in terms of Technical sales certifications across all product range.

 

Requirements

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or any relevant field with a minimum of 1 year experience in technical field.

Must have System Administration knowledge of at least one of the Linux systems. Those with Unix knowledge will have an added advantage.

Must have technical knowledge of any of the databases SQL or Oracle

Hardware knowledge of any of the servers and storages (SUN, IBM, NetApp, HP or EMC)

Must be result oriented with good customer relations

Ability to articulate their solutions in good English and French

2.       2. Business Development Executive – Based in Lusaka, Zambia (1 post)

Reports to:  Branch Manager/Head of Sales and Marketing

 

The Person:

You'll work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing, responsible for researching new business opportunities and finding new clients, leveraging the company reputation and your own industry contacts to best effect. 

Your responsibilities will include:

              Forging and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in existing and new accounts

              Developing opportunities to cross-sell products to existing clients

              Tender writing and submissions

              Maintaining an accurate and ongoing sales pipeline

              Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives

              Developing and leveraging the company’s branding and professional profile

Qualifications

              Minimum of Degree in any relevant fields from a recognized university.

              Minimum three years of previous experience in similar position.

              A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies

              Experience in risk analysis

              A good understanding of contract law

              Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

              Proven ability to develop and implement B2B sales strategies

              Excellent communication, listening and presentation skills

            Strong background in negotiating, tendering and estimating

 

3.        3. Systems Engineer – Based in Lusaka, Zambia (1 post)

Reports to: The Technical Manager

 

The Person:

Must have hardware Administration certifications in any of the hardware vendors like Oracle/SUN, IBM, HP, NetApp or EMC.

Hardware knowledge of servers and storages (SUN, IBM, NetApp, HP or EMC)

Must have System Administration knowledge of either Redhat Linux or at least one of the Unix Operating Systems e.g. Sun Solaris or IBM AIX. Those with extensive Linux experience will be considered

Must have knowledge of Oracle database with OCA or higher.

Must have knowledge in Virtualization software like VMWare or OVM

Must be willing to work at odd hours as work demand.

Ability to write reports such as root cause analysis

Must have good customer relations

A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or any relevant field with least 3 years experience in similar field

 

4.        4. Database Administrator – Based in Lusaka, Zambia (1 post)

Reports to: The Technical Manager

 

The Person:

Must be Oracle Certificated Professional (OCP). Those with OCA (Oracle Certified Associate with extensive experience in a busy IT environment will be considered.

Must be willing to go for further training in databases to reach an expert level.

Must have hardware knowledge of servers and storages (SUN, IBM, NetApp, HP or EMC)

Must have knowledge in Virtualization software like VMWare or OVM

Must have System Administration knowledge of either Redhat Linux or at least one of the Unix Operating Systems

Must be willing to work at odd hours as work demand.

5.          5. Administrative Assistant – Based in Lusaka, Zambia (1 post)

Department: Administration

Main purpose of job: To perform general administrative duties and provide support to the Administrative Officer as required.

Duties include:

Writing and dispatching routine or straightforward letters

Answering general queries by telephone

Photocopying documents

Sorting and opening post

Obtaining information from the computer

Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files

Ordering stationery

Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.

Acting as a personal assistant to the country Manager

 

These are the key duties and responsibilities for the post and they are subject to regular review.  Any significant changes to the role will be subject to consultation.
